And when one thinks of Halwa — remembering Sri Subbiah Pillai Shanthi Sweets is our pride. In 1977, when Mr. Subbiah Pillai started this small establishment, it was not created merely to do business. Taste must have honesty. Quality should never be compromised. Customer trust is the greatest asset. These three beliefs gave birth to our journey. Times have changed. But those values have not. Today, his granddaughter, Mrs. Gomathi Sundari, carries forward the same legacy with responsibility and dedication. The business may have grown… but the soul of the kitchen still carries the warmth of a traditional home. At the heart of our sweets lies the Thamirabarani — the softness of its water, the fragrance of our soil, the life of our land. Using the same traditional methods, we prepare our Halwa, savouries, and sweets even today. Our Halwa is not just a food. It is an experience. AGMARK ghee. Premium Samba wheat milk. Sugar. Cashews. The ingredients are simple. But it is the method that makes it special. Likewise, our mixture has earned its own identity — a taste that makes you reach for another handful without realizing it.
